The action takes place in the fictional Olympic City, where the player must gain his respect and be the best by...well...winning races and be more notorious. The game features many game race mods, such as Knock-Out, Circuit, Sprint, Drag, and Drift. All race types have a different style of racing, especially Drag and Drift, which require the player to push his skills to his limits in certain events if he wants to win. The Career also features a top 10 ranking with the best racers in the town, magazines which can be unlocked by the player by his progress in career, but also for doing certain things. Career also features an option to choose your race difficulty, which everyone has it's own cash reward depending the difficulty you chose. Parts for both visual and performance, and even cars, are unlocked by completing regular events, while is also featured a tournament mod with more stages, in which the player unlocks performance upgrades. The gameplay is great and fun, but also can draw bit of criticism because of the car's handling, which after becoming tuned, the handling is a bit too responsive, and can make you easily crash. Also the city isn't really small so a Free Roam mode is more than welcome, and the gameplay is very linear and many races are repetitive. The visuals aren't bad at all, but certainly could've been better, most of the map props are looking good, while some don't, for instance the traffic cars, which have a terrible amount of detail.

Pros

  • Great fun for both beginners and pros
  • Ability to customize many parts of the vehicles

Cons

  • Graphics are a bit outdated
  • EA stopped providing game support

This is a racing game under the need for speed games created by Electronic arts. Every need for speed game is a good creation for the gamers to enjoy because of the thrill and adrenaline involved. Need for speed underground 2 clearly achieves that through its gameplay. It is the eighth game under need for speed and is available in various platforms like Ps2, Xbox and windows just to mention but a few. It has nice graphics.

The main agenda in this game is street racing where the setup of the races is in “Bay view’’ which is a city in the game with areas such as Coal harbor and Beacon hill. The gamer is guided through the game by a voice, with a lot of features such as customization of cars for the street races. Actually you can customize almost everything that is customizable on an actual car which makes it great and fun. The new features like introduction of SUV vehicles and the explore mode of driving where you ride around the city without any objective makes it even more enjoyable to the gamer.

The races are provided as Drag, drift, Sprint, and circuit which have different race objectives. There are various cars to choose from. The fun part of this game is the career mode which is based on a storyline where the main task at hand for the gamer is to get his role back as the best street racer in Bay view which is not an easy task because the racer has to win many races to get to the top. The soundtracks on the game are good and it has a multi-player option online on some of the platforms like the Ps2 and Xbox. Generally it is a good game.

Pros

  • There are various cars to choose from.
  • The soundtracks on the game are good.

Cons

  • It can be annoying due to repetition.

Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a car racing game that lets you customize your chosen racing machine and upgrade it as your career progresses. I’ve been playing NFS Underground 2 and it really is an upgraded version of the original NFS Underground. You’ll encounter several types of races, which include a standard circuit race, a sprint race, drag racing, drifting and the Underground Racing League.

Need for Speed Underground lets users customize their vehicles prior to racing, and more options will be unlocked as the player’s career progresses. You’ll be able to modify your racing machine’s wheels, side skirts, spoilers, roof scoops, doors and so much more. There are 3 gaming modes and you can play head on with other human players in multiplayer mode. Game play is truly exciting though you may notice that graphics in newer software are better. The game’s heads up display (HUD) show indicator panels for odometers, nitro boost and location on the racing map. Of course the general objective of this game is to drive faster than any of your opponents.

Overall, Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a perfect software for those interested in the Need for Speed gaming experience.

Pros

  • Improved gaming features in sound and graphics
  • Game has three modes and eight competition modes

Cons

  • Racing enthusiasts can look around for more advanced racing games features

Considering that in spite of its historical background, Need For Speed has ended up being a "multiplatform 'saga, it is as always, the PC version that takes the cake within audio and video off the consoles.

Although minor in the genre, Need For Speed Underground 2 has included a fabulous adventure mode where comic mode (Max Payne style) account developments in our history. It comes down to getting the reputation that you provide funds to construct machinery of our dreams and win the elite of night races. In short, a more predictable script that seems as an accessory, rather than the game masterpiece.

The control modes of play, the variety of situations, the reaction of the opponents ?? absolutely everything is measured to provide a satisfying experience to the most demanding lover of speed.

Adventure mode provides a racing league where progress to make a name in the world of tuning, racing circuit where large amounts of money that will make our machine into a monster of mechanical move. And to keep the sauce from the competition, as we move through the city, if we find a partner we can do a little challenge in which the winner is the biggest plus throw the opponent and fill to complete the indicator that separates him from the opponent.

Pros

  • An entire city with 5 distinct neighborhoods to explore at will.
  • The possibility of improving 'millimeter' the technical characteristics of your car.

Cons

  • There are no pedestrians in the city, the atmosphere is good but insufficient

Need for Speed Underground is one of the milestones in Need for Speed history which gave EA better grip on market. Followed by this bumper hit, EA was compelled to release the second part of the game, and thus Need for Speed Underground 2 born. It’s another impressive racing game like its predecessor.

The game was a visual treat to all gamers with pixel-perfect graphics and amazing game plays at its time. Play races to earn more points. There are dozens of sports cars available and you can unlock each of them as your points rises. Tons of car customizations were another attraction, a nice feature that even today’s Need for Speed don’t have. The game provides hours of fun and action with Bay view city’s well engineered roads made for perfect tire burns. Cop chases are another fun factor. As much as you do illegal activities such as street races, cops will pursue you. It enhances the thrill of playing this game.

Verdict:

Even though there are tons of racing games available in market, Need for Speed is always a step ahead of all of them in graphics, game physics and game play. Need for Speed Undercover 2 is one of the best classic racing games in this series. This old game has many features that the new ones don’t have. In my opinion, this is a game you must play if you love racing games! It will be a different gaming experience for you…!

Pros

  • Build your own sportster with unlimited customization options
  • Hair rising police pursuits make the game unique
  • Dozens of supercars are available
  • Open world game is fun

Cons

  • EA stopped providing new updates

An Extreme Street Underground Racing That You Will Surely Love

One of the main upgrades in this game is the free-roaming method of play. Instead of bouncing you in the middle of different sections of the city as its prototype, the game lets you roam a large city in search of the ideal ride. And talking about the car models in this game is well done and a large city finishes with nice details. There are some changes when it comes with driving mechanics, but barely noticeable.

And the game has the graphics look good, it has a crisp and clean details. I almost feel like I am in a real underground scene.

The first time I drive around the big city of this game, I found riding all over the big city is such a distracting, and I am not sure if that idea sounds good. But after a while it becomes natural surroundings for me, and now I love cruising around the big city using my Ford Focus.

Pros

  • It has more race types
  • You can have multiple cars

Cons

  • Some obstacles are very hard

Need for Speed: Underground two is a racing video game, released and developed by Electronic Arts. What I liked about this racing video game is its action sequences, which is set in the city of Bayview. The environment of the game is astonishing. It has cool street lights and vast buildings. The graphics of the game is virtuous and the light effects on the cars are very realistic as they shimmer during night races.

This racing video game comes in different upgrades featuring various music effects and graphics that are used in new game modes and tournaments. It also includes some enhancement that gives me control over my vehicle and tuning options. I can say that the game was developed so well. It has good graphical influence and car customization combinations. I can design and pick a car that I want and that is a good thing in this game.

EA games created an excellent racing video game after numerous efforts to build a powerful game. They have finally published a virtuous and classic racing video game. • It might freeze or twig on older PC

This game brought a new type of racing game to the series and to the whole genre of it. You can join races easily just by the click of a button.
